".....Eden Lake เป็นหนังทุนต่ำจากประเทศอังกฤษและเป็นหนังเรื่องแรกข องผู้กำกับมือใหม่ James Watkins (มือเขียนบท The Descent ภาค 2 ซึ่งจะเข้าฉายในปีนี้) หนังเข้าฉายในปี 2008 ในประเทศอังกฤษและอเมริกาแบบจำกัดโรง ซึ่งก็ได้รับคำชมจากนักวิจารณ์ค่อนข้างดี หนังยังคว้าไป 4 รางวัลจากเทศกาลต่างๆเช่น Empire Awards, Fantasporto, London Critics Circle Film Awards และ Catalonian International Film Festival ทางด้านเว็บไซท์ IMDB ให้คะแนนหนังเรื่องนี้ที่ 7.0 ส่วนเว็บมะเขือเทศ Rotten ให้ไป 83% อย่างไรก็ตามในด้านผู้ชมกลับแบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ ชอบหนังเรื่องนี้มากๆ กับเกลียดหนังเรื่องนี้เข้ากระดูกดำ

หากจะว่ากันที่พล็อตเรื่องแล้ว Eden Lake ก็ไม่ใช่พล็อตเรื่องแนวใหม่ซะทีเดียว ตัวหนังค่อนข้างออกแนวเหมือนเรื่อง Them-il ของฝรั่งเศสผสมกับ The Texas Chainsaw Massacre นิดๆ แถมกลิ่นของ Funny Games หน่อยๆ แต่ก็ไม่อยากให้นำไปเปรียบเทียบกันเพราะเป็นหนังคนละ เรื่อง ส่วนตัวแล้วยอมรับว่า Eden Lake แอบคล้าย Them-il ค่อนข้างมาก หนังสนุกทั้งสองเรื่อง แต่เราชอบ Eden Lake มากกว่าหน่อย....

เรื่องย่อ: เมื่อการฮันนีมูนอันแสนสุขของชายหญิงคู่หนึ่ง ณ ทะเลสาบอีเดน ถูกรบกวนจากแก๊งส์เด็กโข่งประจำถิ่น... จากปัญหาเล็กๆเพียงแค่ขี้หมาก้อนนึง กลายเป็นเรื่องราวสุดระทึกขวัญ เมื่อต่างฝ่ายต่างไม่ยอมกัน ฆ่าได้หยามไม่ได้ จึงกลายเป็นการจำลองนรกขุม 18 ขึ้นมาสู่ทะเลสาบแห่งสรวงสวรรค์นั่นเอง....."
