Harumi Kazuhito เด็กหนุ่มที่ชอบการอ่านหนังสือมากกว่าทุกอย่างและเขา ยังเป็นแฟนนิยายของ Natsuno Kirihime แต่แล้วคืนหนึ่ง ระหว่างที่เขาอ่านหนังสือในร้านอาหารก็ได้พบกับกรณีโ จรปล้นร้านและขู่คนใน ร้าน ถึงเขาจะไม่ได้อยากช่วยเหลือแบบพวกฮีโร่ในหนังแต่ก็เ กิดเหตุที่ทำให้คนร้าย คิดจะลั่นไกใส่คิริฮิเมะ ทำให้เขาต้องปกป้องเธอและส่งผลให้เขาถูกฆ่า ราวกับปฏิหารย์เขาฟื้นขึ้นมาอีกครั้งแต่พบว่าตัวเองก ลายเป็นสุนัขพันธุ์ดัช ชุนที่อยู่ภายใต้การดูแลของลูกค้ารายหนึ่งในร้านที่เ ขาช่วยชีวิตไว้ Natsuno Kirihime นั่นเอง และเธอยังสามารถได้ยินสิ่งที่ Kazuhito คิดและสื่อสารกับเขาได้แม้จะเป็นร่างสุนัข ถึงจะเหมือนโชคดีแต่ก็เป็นโชคร้ายสำหรับเขาอยู่บ้างท ี่นักเขียนนิยายในฝันก็ ไม่ใช่สาวในอุดมคติอย่างที่เห็นภายนอก เธอออกจะค่อนข้างซาดิสต์อยู่นิดๆเช่นกัน โดยเฉพาะการใช้กรรไกรขู่หรือทำร้ายเขา ชีวิตของหนอนหนังสือหนุ่มกับเด็กสาวจะเป็นอย่างไรก็ต ้องติดตามกันต่อไป
