ย้อนอดีตหนังแนวไซไฟสยองอีกเรื่องครับ จะว่าไปคนทำหนังเรื่องนี้ก็ไม่ใช่กระจอกหรอกนะครับ เขาคือ Tobe Hooper เจ้าตำรับคนทำ The Texas Chinsaw Massacre ที่ตอนนั้นชื่อเสียงกำลังแรง เพราะ หลังจากแจ้งเกิดด้วยหนังสิงหาสับแล้วก็สร้างชื่อต่อด ้วย Eaten Alive, Salem s Lot และงานชิ้นสำคัญคือ Poltergeist หนังบ้านผีสิงที่เขาได้ร่วมงานกับ Steven Spielberg เท่านั้นล่ะครับชื่อพี่แกดังไปหลายวาจนมีหลายค่ายหนั งพากันมาตอดให้ไปทำหนังให้หน่อย และค่ายที่จีบ Hooper สำเร็จก็คือ Cannon Film ซึ่งพี่แกก็เซ็นสัญญาทำหนังสามเรื่องรวด นี่คือเรื่องแรกในสัญญานั้นครับ

สร้างจากนิยายแนวไซไฟของ Colin Wilson เนื้อเรื่องว่าด้วยอนาคตที่มนุษย์ส่งยานอวกาศออกไปสำ รวจดาวหางฮัลเล่ย์ และปรากฏว่าภายในดาวหาง พวกลูกทีมสำรวจต้องเจอกับความสยอง เมื่อมีสิ่งมีชีวิตรูปร่างคล้ายมนุษย์ นอนสงบนิ่งอยู่ในนั้น เป็นชายสอง หญิงหนึ่ง (Mathilda May) ซึ่งหญิงหนึ่งนี่แหละทำท่าจะเป็นหัวหน้า

พวกเขาจับพวกนี้ขึ้นยานเพื่อตรวจสอบ แล้วเป็นไงล่ะครับ พวกมันก็ไล่ฆ่าคน จนเหลือคนรอดเพียงหนึ่ง ซึ่งก็คือ ทอม คาลเซน (Steve Railsback) เขาได้กลับมาเล่าเรื่องสยองให้เจ้าหน้าทีทางการบนโลก ฟัง แต่เรื่องร้ายยังไม่จบ เพราะมันได้ตามเขามายังโลก และเริ่มกระบวนการไล่ดูดชีพมนุษย์ งานนี้โลกได้ไร้สิ่งมีชีวิตแน่นอน เพราะพวกมันคือแวมไพร์สายพันธุ์อวกาศที่มาเพื่อดูดชี พคนทั้งโลก!
