จากที่เกิดเหตุ พวกเขาเดินต่อไปเรื่อย ๆ จนพบบ้านหลังหนึ่งซึ่งไม่มีผู้อยู่อาศัย ซึ่งน่าจะเข้าใจว่าอาจถูกมนุษย์หมาป่าบุกฆ่ายกครอบคร ัวไปแล้ว พวกเขาจึงยึดบ้านหลังนี้เป็นที่มั่นเตรียมต่อกรกับบร รดามนุษย์หมาป่าที่หมายจะบุกมาคร่าชีวิตของทุก ๆ คน ก่อนเวลาฟ้าสางและความช่วยเหลือจะมาถึง หนทางเดียวที่จะทำให้พวกเขาอยู่รอดจนถึงช่วงเวลานั้น คงมีเพียงแต่ต้องทำตามที่ฝึกมาอย่างเคร่งคัดและป้องก ันอย่างสุดกำลัง แต่มันก็คงไม่ง่ายอย่างที่พวกเขาคิด เมื่อครอบครัวของเจ้าของบ้านที่พวกทหารเข้าใจว่าตายก ันไปหมดแล้ว หากแต่ไม่ใช่พวกเขายังไม่ได้ตาย แต่กลายร่างเป็นมนุษย์หมาป่ากันทั้งครอบครัวต่างหาก และบ้านที่พวกทหารไปหลบก็คือรังของพวกมันนั่นเอง
