Man on a legde เริ่มต้นเรื่องราวด้วยผู้ชายคนหนึ่งในชุดสูท เดินออกมาจากสถานีรถไฟใต้ดิน เช่าห้องโรงแรมหรูใจกลางเมือง และสั่งอาหารราคาแพง เช่น แชมเปญและล็อบสเตอร์ จากนั้นเขาก็เขียนโน้ตและก้าวออกไปนอกระเบียง สำหรับคนดูแล้วนี่อาจเป็นผู้ชายที่กำลังคิดฆ่าตัวตาย แต่เรื่องราวซับซ้อนกว่านั้นและทั้งหมดพาคุณดำเนินไป สู่ความมันส์ที่ต้อง ลุ้นทุกลมหายใจ ..

ชายคนนั้น คือ นิค อดีตเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจที่เพิ่งถูกตัดสินให้จำคุก 25 ปี ในคดีที่เขาไม่ได้ก่อ และในที่สุดเขาจึงตัดสินใจแหกคุกออกมา เพื่อพิสูจน์ความบริสุทธิ์ของตัวเองและสืบหาผู้ร้ายต ัวจริง โดยเขามีเวลาเพียงแค่ 24 ชั่วโมง ในการปฏิบัติภารกิจนี้ แต่เวลาที่จำกัดมันท้าทายน้อยเกินไป เพราะเขาต้องทำทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างที่ว่ามา บนระเบียงตึกสูงกว่า 20 ชั้น ถ้าพลาดเพียงก้าวเดียวนั่นหมายถึงการจบชีวิต
