A young man who had surely died in an accident, was reborn in another world as a baby. After that, he was picked up by the patriot hero "Sage" Merlin Wolford and was given the name Shin. เรื่องย่อ: ชายหนุ่มในยุคปัจจุบันที่ตายแล้วไปเกิดใหม่ในโลกแฟนต าซี ตัวเขาเป็นทารกที่รอดชีวิตจากการถูกมอนสเตอร์ฆ่า ถูกเลี้ยงโดยมหาจอมเวทชื่อดัง เมอร์ลิน วอลฟอร์ด ที่มาพบ ให้เขาเป็นหลาน ชื่อ ชิน วอลฟอร์ด พัฒนาฝีมือจนก้าวหน้าอย่างรวดเร็ว ระดับเทียบเคียงกับตัวเมอร์ลิน แต่ไม่เคยชมถึงพรสวรรค์ของชิน ผ่านไป 15 ปี จนวันที่เริ่มออกจากบ้านไปอยู่ในโรงเรียนร่วมกับคนอื ่น เมอร์ลินเพิ่งนึกได้ว่า “ลืมสอนเรื่องระดับเวทมนตร์แบบคนทั่วไปใช้กัน” ชินจึงไม่ค่อยเข้าใจเวทมนตร์แบบคนทั่วไปในรุ่นเดียวก ับเขานัก และมักมีเรื่องให้แปลกใจต่อคนอื่นเสมอ
