ไพค์รับบทเป็นพยาบาลในชนบทที่ถูกชายโรคจิต (ไชโลห์ เฟอร์นันเดซ) ปลอมเป็นชายที่เธอนัดบอดมาทำร้ายร่างกายและข่มขืน ซึ่งเหตุการณ์นั้นได้เปลี่ยนเธอไปตลอดกาล เธอหมกมุ่นกับคนร้ายคนนี้ที่แม้ว่าเขาจะติดคุกไปแล้ว ด้วยการส่งจดหมายไปหา ไปเยี่ยมถึงในคุก และยั่วยวนเขา จนทำให้พ่อของเธอ (นิค โนลเต้) เป็นกังวลอย่างมาก เกิดอะไรขึ้นกับเธอ หรือนี่เป็นการวางแผนล้างแค้นของเธอกันแน่
