Corral ฮอลลีวูดนำเหตุการณ์นี้มาสร้างเป็นภาพยนตร์นับสิบครั ้ง ล่าสุดในปี 1993 และ 1994 ที่ Kevin Costner และ Kevin Jarre นักเขียนบทภาพยนตร์ตัดสินใจที่จะร่วมกันสร้างภาพยนตร ์เกี่ยวกับนายอำเภอชื่อ ดัง แต่เกิดมีความเห็นไม่ตรงกันในแนวทางของหนัง จึงตกลงแยกกันทำ โดยที่ Costner หันไปจับมือกับผู้กำกับ Lawrence Kasdan เขียนบทหนังอีกเรื่องในชื่อ Wyatt Earp สร้างแข่งกับ Tombstone ที่ Jarre ได้ Kurt Russell มาช่วยผลิตและแสดงนำ
