เรื่องย่อ
มารุโอะ เออิจิโร่ เด็กหนุ่มนักเรียนชั้นม.ปลาย ผู้มีผลการเรียนดีเยี่ยมมาโดยตลอด เออิจิโร่ ให้ความสนใจเรื่องการเรียนเพียงอย่างเดียวเท่านั้น ทำให้นั้นเขาไม่ค่อยได้ออกกำลังกาย จึงขาดทักษะในด้านกีฬาเป็นอย่างมาก และดูเหมือนตอนนี้ เออิจิโร่ จะไม่ค่อยมีความสุขกับสิ่งที่เขาเป็นสักเท่าไหร่...
จนกระทั่งวันหนึ่งเขาได้รับใบปลิวเทนนิสคลับ และมีโอกาสเดินทางไปยังที่นั่น เออิจิโร่ ได้พบกับ ทาคาซากิ นัตสึ ไอดอลสาวประจำโรงเรียน เธอยังเป็นสมาชิกของเทนนิสคลับแห่งนี้ด้วย นัตสึ ฝันอยากจะเป็นนักเทนนิสมืออาชีพ แถมยังมีส่วนผลักดันให้เออิจิโร่เริ่มมีความสนใจในกี ฬาเทนนิสขึ้นมา
สำหรับ เออิจิโร่ นั้น เมื่อได้เล่นเทนนิส เขามีความตั้งใจที่จะไปให้ถึงโปรเลยทีเดียว แม้ว่าจะเป็นมือใหม่เพิ่งหัดเล่นเทนนิส แต่ด้วยความเป็นคนช่างสังเกต แถมยังเป็นนักวิเคราะห์ ทำให้ ออิจิโร่ สามารถที่จะควบคุมลูกเทนนิสได้เป็นอย่างดี แต่ผู้เล่นมือใหม่สมัครเล่นอย่าง เออิจิโร่ นั้นจะเป็นมือโปรด้านเทนนิสได้หรือไม่ ติดตามชมได้ใน Baby Steps Anime …
