ขุดกรุหนังเก่าครั้งนี้ขอพาคอหนังย้อนไปในปี 1997 กับหนัง Action สืบสวนเรื่องเยี่ยมอีกเรื่องในยุคนั้นอย่าง Murder at 1600 เรื่องราวของคดีฆาตกรรมหญิงสาวคนหนึ่งซึ่งคงไม่เป็นเ รื่องราวใหญ่โตอะไรมาก หากไม่พอดีว่าสถานที่เกิดเหตุคดีฆาตกรรมนี้มันดันเกิ ดขึ้นที่บ้านเลขที่ 1600 ซึ่งนั่นคือที่ตั้งของ White House หรือทำเนียบขาวที่พำนักของท่านประธานาธิบดีแห่งสหรัฐ อเมริกานั่นเอง

Murder at 1600 ได้ดารามีชื่อหลายคนในยุคนั้นมาแสดงนำ ทั้ง Wesley Snipes ในบทนักสืบมือดีที่ต้องมาไขคดีฆาตกรรมครั้งนี้ ร่วมด้วย Diane Lane นางเอกสาวชื่อดังในยุคนั้นในบทเจ้าหน้าที่ประจำทำเนี ยบขาว ร่วมสมทบด้วยนักแสดงเจ้าบทบาทของวงการอีกหลายคนอย่าง Daniel Benzali , Alan Alda และ Ronny Cox กำกับการแสดงโดย Dwight H. Little ผู้กำกับมือดีอีกคนในยุคนั้นที่เคยฝากผลงานหนังอย่าง Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers [ปี 1988] , Marked for Death [ปี 1990], Rapid Fire [ปี1992] แล้วก็ Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home [ปี 1995] จึงกล่าวได้ว่า Murder at 1600 เป็นหนัง หนัง Action สืบสวน ซ่อนเงื่อน เก่าดี ๆ อีกเรื่องที่อยากแนะนำให้คอหนังยุคนี้ได้ชม

มีการฆาตกรรมหญิงสาวรายหนึ่งเกิดขึ้นที่ในห้องน้ำของ บ้านเลขที่ 1600 ซึ่งเรื่องมันก็คงจะไม่ใหญ่โตหรอกครับหากไม่พอดีว่า บ้านเลขที่ 1600 นั้นคือที่ตั้งของทำเนียบขาว ที่พำนักของท่านประธานาธิบดีแห่งสหรัฐอเมริกา !!!! ทำให้นักสืบมือดีแห่งกรมตำรวจวอซิงตัน ดี.ซี. อย่าง ฮาร์แลน เรจิส [Wesley Snipes] ได้รับมอบหมายจาก จอร์แดน [Alan Alda] ผู้บังคับบัญชาหน่วยรักษาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติให้เป็นผ ู้สืบคดีนี้ แต่การทำงานของเรจิสก็ต้องพบกับอุปสรรคเพราะดูเหมือน เค้าจะไม่ได้รับความ ร่วมมือจาก สไปกิ๊งค์ [Daniel Benzali] หัวหน้าหน่วยรักษาความปลอดภัยของทำเนียบขาวผู้มีข้อม ูลในคดีนี้ทุกอย่าง และสไปกิ๊งค์ยังได้สั่งให้ นีน่า แชนซ์ [Diane Lane] คอยจับตาดูการทำงานของนักสืบเรจิสทุกฝีก้าว

แต่เรจิสเป็นพวกกัดไม่ปล่อยเค้าได้ขอความช่วยเหลือจา กตำรวจเพื่อนซี้อย่าง นักสืบ สเตนเกล [Dennis Miller] ให้ช่วยหาข้อมูลลับ ๆ ในคดีนี้และเมื่อยิ่งสืบสวนลึกเข้าไปเรจิสยิ่งพบเงื่ อนงำที่ซับซ้อนมากมาย และเค้ามั่นใจว่าฆาตกรในคดีก็ต้องเป็นบุคคลสำคัญระดั บสูงที่มีอำนาจอย่างสูง ที่อาศัยอยู่ในทำเนียบขาว ซึ่งมันอาจหมายถึงการสั่นคลอนตำแหน่งผู้นำสูงสุดของป ระเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาก็ เป็นได้ !!!
