Blood :The Last Vampire ภาพยนตร์ Action Thriller ที่สร้างดัดแปลงมาจากการ์ตูนแอนิเมชั่นของญี่ปุ่นในช ื่อเดียวกัน Blood The Last Vampire ของ Hiroyuki Kitakubo ซึ่งได้รับรางวัลแอนิเมชั่นยอดเยี่ยมจาก World Animation Celebration ในปี 2001 และมาในปี 2009 William Kong ผู้อำนวยการสร้างที่เคยฝากผลงานหนังเอเซียที่ไปสร้าง ชื่อในระดับ Hollywood มาแล้วอย่าง Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon [ปี 2000] และ Hero [ปี 2002] ได้จับมือกับ Chris Nahon ผู้กำกับที่เคยมีผลงานหนังเด่น ๆ อย่าง Kiss of the Dragon [ปี 2001] สร้างหนังเรื่องนี้ Blood :The Last Vampire และอีกจุดสำคัญอีกเรื่องหนึ่งของหนังที่ไม่กล่าวถึงไ ม่ได้คือในส่วนดารานำ ที่จะมารับบท ซายะ หญิงสาวนักฆ่า ลูกครึ่งแวมไพร์ ตัวละครเด่นที่สุดในเรื่อง ก็คือ จวน จี ฮุน [Jeon Ji Hyun] ดาราซุปเปอร์สาวชาวเกาหลีใต้ที่สร้างชื่อในเอเซียกับ หนังอย่าง My Sassy Girl ยัยตัวร้ายกับนายเจี๋ยมเจี้ยม ในปี 2001 และจึงไม่แปลกหาก Blood :The Last Vampire จะมีชื่อไทยว่า ยัยตัวร้าย สายพันธุ์อมตะ
