เรื่องย่อ
ในยุคตื่นทอง ค.ศ.1870-80 แคลิฟอร์เนีย ณ เมืองที่ชื่อว่า Lahood ที่คนงานในแค็มเล็กๆแถว Carbon Canyon กำลังถูกนายทุนไล่ที่ทำมาหากิน ด้วยวิธีการโหดร้ายต่างๆนานา ในขณะที่กลุ่มคนงานใกล้จะหมดกำลังใจและคิดจะละทิ้งที ่ทำกินไป ได้ปรากฏบาทหลวง (Clint Eastwood) ลึกลับคนหนึ่ง เข้ามาช่วยกอบกู้สถานการณ์ของชาวเหมืองเอาไว้..ที่นำ ไปสู่เสียงปืน ความตาย และจุดจบที่คาดไม่ถึง
