หนังออสเตรเลียสุดโหดที่ถูกกล่าวขานกันมากในหลาย ๆ ประเทศ เรื่องราวเริ่มต้นขึ้นเมื่อพี่สาวของนีน่า หายตัวไปอย่างลึกลับในป่าแถบออสเตรเลีย โดยนีน่าเองคิดว่านี่คงเป็นฝีมือของเสือแทสเมเนียนแน ่ ๆ ที่ทำให้พี่สาวของเขาหายตัวไป ด้วยความที่นีน่านั้นเป็นนักศึกษาสาวสาขาสัตววิทยา เธอและเพื่อนกลุ่มนึงจึงออกเดินทางไปที่ป่าออสเตรเลี ยที่ที่พี่สาวของนีน่าหายตัวไปอย่างลึกลับ เพื่อที่จะพิสูจน์ความจริงว่าเสือแทสเมเนียนนั้นมีอย ู่จริง แต่สิ่งที่นีน่าและผองเพื่อนไม่รู้มาก่อนคือ เมื่อต้นศตวรรษที่ 19 อเล็กซานเดอร์ เพียซ หรือ "พายแมน" ฆาตกรโหดได้แหกคุกออกมาถึงสองครั้ง แต่ละครั้งที่เขาหนีออกมา เขาได้ฆ่าและกิน เนื้อนักโทษคนอื่นที่หนีออกมาด้วยกัน จนในที่สุดเขาก็ถูกตัดสินประหารชีวิต ทว่าความสยองขวัญยังไม่จบแค่นั้น เมื่อเพียซได้ปลูกฝังรสนิยมในการลิ้มลองเนื้อมนุษย์ใ ห้แก่บรรดาลูกหลานของ เขาในรุ่นถัดไป
