เรื่องย่อ

เจ้าหน้าที่พิเศษจากรัฐบาลนาม เจมส์ เวสท์ (Will Smith) หนุ่มเจ้าเสน่ห์และฉลาด พร้อมกับเจ้าหน้าที่พิเศษอีกคน กอร์ดอน (Kevin Kline) ผู้เป็นหนึ่งด้านการปลอมตัว และนักประดิษฐ์อัจฉริยะไม่ว่าเล็กหรือใหญ่ ถูกส่งไปติดตามแผนร้ายของ Dr.Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh) ผู้ไร้ซึ่งความรัก ที่กำลังวางแผนลอบสังหารประธานาธิบดีของอเมริกา โดยมี ยานรบขนาดยักษ์เดินได้ พร้อมอาวุธหนักเพียบ ที่ถูกขนานนามว่า The Tarantula West และ Gordon เริ่มต้นกันแบบคู่แข่งซึ่งกันและกัน แต่ในที่สุดพรสวรรค์ของทั้งคู่ ก็ทำให้ทั้ง 2 คนกลายมาเป็น คู่หูที่เชื่อมันเชื่อใจ ซึ่งกันและกัน สาวสวยที่ลึกลับนาม Rita Escobar (Salma Hayek) เสนอตัวเข้าร่วมงานกับ 2 คู่หู เพื่อที่จะจับกุม Loveless แต่ Loveless ก็มีทีมงานอันตรายของเขา เอง ทั้งหมดมีความสามารถพิเศษของแต่ละคน เพื่อที่จะสร้างความลำบากให้แก่ West และ Gordon
