เรื่องราวของชายหนุ่มไฮสคูลธรรมดาอย่าง ชาร์ลี บริวสเตอร์ ที่หลังจากได้มีการหายตัวไปของเพื่อนเขาหลายๆคนในวัน ที่ผ่านมา ทำให้เพื่อนสนิทที่เริ่มห่างเหินของเขาอย่าง เอ็ด ได้เริ่มตั้งข้อสงสัยต่อเพื่อนบ้านใหม่ของ ชาร์ลี อย่าง เจอร์รี่ ว่าเขานั้นเป็น แวมไพร์ กินเลือด ซึ่งในตอนแรกใครจะไปเชื่อเรื่องประหลาดนี้ได้ลงหล่ะ จนกระทั่ง ชาร์ลี ได้ดันไปเห็นเหตุการ์ณการฆ่าของแวมไพร์ เจอร์รี่ และหลังจากนั้นเองทำให้เขา และ แม่พร้อมกับแฟนสาวสวยของเขา ต้องหนีการตามล่าของแวมไพร์เดือดตัวนี้
