เรื่องย่อ

American Gangster สร้างจากเรื่องจริงของเจ้าพ่อค้ายาเสพติดในยุค 70 ที่ชื่อว่า แฟรงค์ ลูกัส เขาสร้างตัวด้วยการเดินทางมายังสามเหลี่ยมทองคำ แหล่งผลิตที่ให้ผลผลิตชั้นเยี่ยม จนทำให้เขาร่ำรวยขึ้นมาเป็นหนึ่งในเจ้าพ่อชื่อดังของ นิวยอร์ค แต่อำนาจบารมีที่ได้มาด้วยความทุจริตนั้นไม่คงทน เมื่อทางการส่ง ริชชี่ โรเบิร์ตส์ สายสืบตำรวจใจซื่อฝีมือดีมาทลายขบวนการค้ายาเสพติดขอ งนิวยอร์ค เส้นทางการยาเสพติดของเจ้าพ่อแฟรงค์ ลูกัส ที่ใช้ซ่อนไว้ในโรงศพของทหารอเมริกันที่ส่งกลับจากเว ียดนาม จึงถูกเปิดโปง และนำไปสู่การกวาดล้างแก๊งค์ค้ายาเสพติดทั้งหมดของนิ วยอร์ค ที่สาวไปถึงพวกตำรวจคอร์รัปชั่นที่รับส่วยอีกมากมาย จนกลายเป็นคดีประวัติศาสตร์ที่สะเทือนวงการ
