The Good Doctor เป็นซีรีส์แนวการแพทย์ ที่ว่าด้วยเรื่องราวของ ฌอน เมอร์ฟี่ (รับบทโดย เฟรดดี้ ไฮร์มอร์) ศัลยแพทย์หนุ่มที่เป็นอัจฉริยะออทิสติก เขาย้ายจากหมู่บ้านอันแสนสงบ มาทำงานร่วมกับทีมศัลยแพทย์ที่โรงพยาบาลแห่งหนึ่ง ถึงแม้ว่าเขาจะอยู่อย่างโดดเดี่ยว และ มีปัญหาการเข้าสังคม แต่เขาก็ได้ใช้พรสวรรค์ทางการแพทย์ที่เขามี ช่วยชีวิตผู้คน และ ต่อสู้กับข้อกังขาของเหล่าเพื่อนร่วมงาน ที่ตั้งคำถามว่า คนที่มีปัญหาในการสื่อสารกับคนอื่นแบบเขา จะสามารถรักษาชีวิตคนได้จริงๆหรือ?
