หนังเปิดเรื่องขึ้นมาเป็นฉากที่ โจซี่ กำลังอยู่กับครอบครัว
แล้วก็ถูกเจ้าหน้าที่ ของทางการบุกมาเผาบ้านแล้วฆ่าเมียกับลูก
โจซี่ เคียดแค้นทางการ แล้วเข้าร่วมกับกลุ่มกบฏต่อสู้กับรัฐบาล
โจซี่ นั้นมีฝีมือในการยิงปืน..... หลังจากการปราบปรามอย่างหนัก
ของทางการ ทำให้มีกบฏหลายๆกลุ่มเข้ามาวางอาวุธมอบตัวกับทางการ
กลุ่มของโจซี่ก็เช่นเดียวกัน ยกเว้นโจซี่ คนเดียว ที่ปฏิเสธการวางอาวุธ
เพราะความแค้นยังไม่ได้รับการชำระ จริงๆแล้วทางการต้องการสังหาร
กลุ่มกบฏให้หมดโดยการสังหารหมู่ กบฏกลุ่มนั้นรอดมาสองคนคือ
เพรชเชอร์ ที่เข้าร่วมกับทางการ และหนุ่มน้อยคนหนึ่งที่เข้าร่วม
เดินทางไปกับโจซี่ หลังจากเหตุการณ์ครั้งนั้น โจซี่ถูกตั้งค่าหัว 5000 เหรียญ
โจซี่กับเด็กหนุ่มเดินทางไปเรื่อยๆ หนีการตามล่าของทางการ ตลอดเส้นทาง
มีผู้คนมากหน้าพยายามที่จะฆ่าเขาเพื่อเอาค่าหัว แต่ไม่มีใครชักปืนเร็วเท่าโจซี่
ไม่มีใครยิงได้แม่นเหมือนเขา การเดินทางของโจซี่นั้นได้ช่วยเหลือคนอีกหลายๆคน
ทำให้เขามีเพื่อนร่วมทางมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในที่สุด ก็มาถึงการเผชิญหน้าครั้งสุดท้าย
โจซี่ได้พบกับคนที่เคยฝากความแค้นใว้กับเขา
