Super Robot Taisen Original "The Inspector" เป็นอนิเมที่มาจากเกมสุดดังของค่ายบันไดแนมโคโดยเนื้ อเรื่องต่อมาจากภาค Super Robot Taisen Original "Divine Wars" และก่อนภาค Super Robot Taisen Original "The Animetion" ที่เป็น OVA สามตอนจบ หกเดือนหลังจากสงคราม L5 ใน Super Robot Taisen Original "Divine Wars"ลูกยานของ Hagane(ATX Team) Hiryuu Customs และ SRX Team ได้แยกย้ายกันกลับไปประจำการยังฐานทัพที่ตนสังกัดอยู ่แต่ละฝ่ายก็ต้องตามล่าและกำจัดพวก DC ที่เหลืออยู่เพื่อคืนสันติสุขให้กับโลก แต่ว่ากลับมีศัตรูฝ่ายใหม่ปรากฏมาถึงสองฝ่ายฝ่ายแรกค ือ Shadow Mirror จากโลกในอีกมิตินึง ส่วนอีกฝ่ายคือ Einsts จากนอกโลก โชคยังดีที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายไม่ได้ร่วมมือกัน(ตีกันเองอีก ) Hagane(ATX Team) Hiryuu Customs และ SRX Team จึงต้องกลับมาร่วมมือกันเพื่อปกป้องโลกอีกครั้ง
