Saint Seiya Legend of Sanctuary หรือเรียกย่อๆว่า Saint Seiya LoS เป็นภาพยนตร์การ์ตูนแบบ CG Animation ที่ทำขึ้นเพื่อฉลองครบรอบ 40 ปีการ์ตูนเรื่อง Saint Seiya ของอาจารย์ มาซามิ คุรุมะดะ ซึ่งในระหว่างช่วงที่ผ่านมามีการสร้างการ์ตูนและอนิเ มชั่นภาคใหม่ของเรื่อง Saint Seiya ไปแล้วหลายภาคไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาคย้อนอดีตอย่าง Lost Canvas รวมไปถึงภาคเนื้อเรื่องใหม่อย่าง Omega ที่กำลังจะจบลงในปลายเดือนมีนาคมนี้ แต่ถึงอย่างนั้นภาคที่แฟนๆชืนชอบมากที่สุดของการ์ตูน เซย่าก็ยังคงเป็นภาคการต่อสู้ในศึกปราสาท 12 ราศีอยู่ดี นั่นจึงทำให้ทาง เคอิจิ ซาโต้ ผู้กำกับตัดสินใจเลือกเนื้อเรื่องช่วงปราสาท 12 ราศีมาทำเป็นภาพยนตร์ใหม่ในแบบ CG ฉลองครบรอบ 40 ปี
