Metamorphosis บอกเล่าถึงเรื่องลึกลับของครอบครัวหนึ่ง นำโดยผู้เป็นพ่ออย่าง พัค คังกู (รับบทโดย ซอง ดงอิล) ที่เพิ่งย้ายเข้าบ้านใหม่ได้ไม่นาน แต่กลับเจอกับเรื่องราวสุดสะพรึ่งและไม่ชอบมาพากลมาก มาย จนพวกเขาเริ่มรู้สึกถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงของคนในครอบคร ัว และคำตอบที่ได้คือการพยายามแฝงตัวของปีศาจปริศนา ด้วยการ “เปลี่ยนหน้า” เป็นหนึ่งในพวกเขา แต่เรื่องนี้ดูจะหนักเกินกว่าพวกเขาจะแก้ไขกันเองได้ คนเดียวที่พวกเขาพอจะนึกออกคือ พัค จุงซู (รับบทโดย เบ ซองอู) น้องชายหัวหน้าครอบครัวนี้ที่ปัจจุบันเป็นบาทหลวง แต่ จุงซู กลับลังเลในการให้ความช่วยเหลืออันเนื่องมาจากความล้ มเหลวในการปราบผีของเขาในอดีตจนทำให้ผู้บริสุทธิ์ต้อ งเสียชีวิต และกลายเป็นความฝังใจเขาจนถึงปัจจุบัน แต่สุดท้ายแล้ว เขาจะเลือกเมินเฉยต่อเหตุการณ์นี้เพราะไม่อยากให้ประ วัติศาสตร์ซ้ำรอย หรือจะยอมเสี่ยงเพื่อช่วยครอบครัวที่เหลืออยู่เพียง หนึ่งเดียวของเขาก่อนที่จะสายเกินไป!
