นักบินแห่งกองทัพอากาศอเมริกัน เบน แกนน่อน.(จอช ลูคัส). , คาร่า เวด.(เจสสิก้า บีล).และ.เฮนรี่ เพอร์เซลล์.(เจมี่ ฟอกซ์).ทั้งหมดเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในหน่วยลับ ที่เรียกกันว่า Talons พวกเขาคือเที่สุดแห่งที่สุด แต่แล้ว ร้อยเอก จอร์ช คัมมิ่ง.(แซม เชฟพาร์ด).ผู้บังคับบัญชากลับแนะนำให้พวกเขารู้จักกั บเครื่องบินลำใหม่ ที่ควบคุมด้วยปัญญาประดิษฐ์ UCAV.(พาหนะต่อสู้บนอากาศที่ขับเคลื่อนโดยไร้คนบังคั บ).หรือชื่อย่อคือเEDI

ในการลงมือปฏิบัติภารกิจจริงครั้งแรก EDI ได้พิสูจน์ตัวเองว่าเป็นนักบินชั้นยอด แต่แล้วเครื่อง EDI ก็ถูกฟ้าผ่า สมองของเจ้าคอมพิวเตอร์จึงได้รับการกระทบกระเทือน และ.ปัญหาที่เกิดกับวงจรไฟฟ้าของ EDI มีแต่จะแย่ลงเรื่อยๆเเบน จึงตัดสินใจยกเลิกปฏิบัติการ แต่ EDI กลับฝ่าฝืนคำสั่งและ.มุ่งหน้าโจมตีต่อ... มหันตภัยระอุขึ้นเรื่อยๆเเมื่อ EDI ตัดสินใจดำเนินภารกิจลับสุดยอด ที่หากมันทำสำเร็จแล้ว.. โลกก็จะต้องถึงคราววินาศด้วยสงครามนิวเคลียร์ วันล้างโลกนี้มีเพียงเบนเท่านั้น ที่จะสามารถหยุดยั้งได้!
