เนื้อเรื่องย่อ

Ben-Hur เป็นเรื่องราวของ จูดาร์ เบนเฮอร์ เจ้าชายชาวยิว ที่ต้องพบกับความยากลำบาก เมื่อ เมสซาลา นายทหารของโรมัน เพื่อนของเขาในวัยเด็ก ได้รับคำสั่งให้มาปกครองเมืองจูเดียของเยรูซาเร็ม ได้ขอให้จูดาร์ เบนเฮอร์ ช่วยตามล่าตัวพวกต่อต้านจักรพรรดิ์โรมัน แต่เขาปฏิเสธที่จะให้ความร่วมมือ ทำให้เมสซาลาไม่พอใจมาก เมื่อแม่ทัพคนใหม่ถูกส่งเข้ามาปกครองเมือง เยรูซาเร็ม ขณะที่กำลังเดินขบวนอยู่นั้น น้องสาวของเบนเฮอร์ได้ทำกระเบื้องหล่นใส่แม่ทัพโดยไม ่ตั้งใจ เมสซาลาจึงได้โอกาสแก้เผ็ดโดยการใส่ร้ายเขาด้วยข้อหา พยายามฆ่าข้าหลวงคน หนึ่ง และส่งเบนเฮอร์ไปเป็นทาสในกองทัพเรือในระยะเวลากว่า 3 ปี แต่โชคชะตาได้ช่วยเบนเฮอร์ เมื่อเขาได้ช่วยแม่ทัพเรือท่านหนึ่งไว้ และต่อมาแม่ทัพท่านนั้นได้รับเบนเฮอร์เป็นบุตรบุญธรร มของตน เบนเฮอร์ได้รอวันที่จะได้ชำระบัญชีแค้นกับเมสซาลา เพื่อจะได้กลับไปหาแม่กับน้องสาว และเอสเธอร์หญิงที่เขารักสุดหัวใจ
