เหลียวไจจื้ออี้ (จีน: &#32842 &#25995 &#24535 &#24322 พินอิน: li&#225 ozh&#257 i zh&#236 y&#236 หรือในประเทศไทยใช้ชื่อว่า โปเยโปโลเย เป็นนวนิยายของนักประพันธ์ที่มีนามว่า ผู ซงหลิง (&#33970 &#26494 &#40836 แต่งขึ้นมาจากเรื่องเล่าของจีนในสมัยราชวงศ์ชิง ตอนที่นำมาทำเป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ทำให้โด่งดังในหลาย ๆ ประเทศได้แก่ตอนที่มีชื่อว่า "เนี่ย เสี่ยวเชี่ยน" มีเนื้อเรื่องย้อนไปสมัยราชวงศ์ถังเล่าถึงความรักต้อ งห้ามระหว่างมนุษย์ที่ มีนามว่า หนิงไฉ่เฉิน และปีศาจที่มานามว่า เสี่ยวเชี่ยน พร้อมกับเล่าถึงสงครามระหว่างปีศาจและมนุษย์

หลวงจีนหนุ่ม "ซีฟาง" ร่วมเดินทางไปกับอาจารย์คือ ไต้ซือไป๋หยุน เพื่ออัญเชิญพระทองไปยังเมืองหนึ่ง ขณะเดินทางไปพบกับปีศาจสาว "เสี่ยวจั๋ว" ที่ดอยฮั่วฟางทำให้หลงใหล เพื่อจะได้กินซะ แต่ฟางไม่หลงเสน่ห์ ทำให้จอมปีศาจต้นไม้พันปีไม่พอใจและออกมาอาละวาด ไต้ซือได้ต่อสู้กับจอมปีศาจและถูกจับตัวไป ฟางจึงร่วมมือกับจอมยุทธรับจ้างที่ชื่อหยิ่ว เดินทางไปช่วยอาจารย์ โดยมีเสี่ยวจั๋วคอยช่วยเหลือทำให้ทั้งคู่เกิดความรัก ต่อกัน แต่อุปสรรคคือจอมปีศาจได้เก็บเถ้ากระดูกของเสี่ยวจั๋ วไว้ นอกจากต้องช่วยเหลืออาจารย์แล้ว ฟางยังต้องชิงเถ้ากระดูกของคนรักมาให้ได้อีกด้วย
