และในภาคนี้เราจะได้พบกับตัวละครใหม่ ๆ เพิ่มมาอีกหนึ่ง ได้แก่ คลาริส ลา ริว ลูกสาวของเทพแห่งสงครามแอรีส และ ไทสัน ยักษ์ตาเดียว โดยเพอร์ซี่จะมาค้นพบความจริงทีหลังว่า ไทสัน คือน้องชายต่างมารดา ที่เป็นลูกของเทพเจ้าโพไซดอนกับนางไม้นั่นเอง และนอกจากลูก ๆ ของเหล่าเทพแล้ว ยังมีเทพเจ้ากรีกที่เราคุ้นเคยกันดีอย่าง เฮอร์เมส เทพเจ้าส่งสาส์น รวมทั้ง ไดโอนีซุส เทพเจ้าแห่งไวน์ปรากฏตัวขึ้นด้วยเช่นกัน
