ธาเดียส (Danny McBride) ใช้ชีวิตที่ผ่านมาของเค้าโดยการเฝ้ามอง เฟเบียส (James Franco) พี่ชายสุดสมบูรณ์แบบของเขาเดินทางผจญภัยสุดห้าวหาญจน สามารถชนะใจประชาชนทั้ง เมือง ธาเดียสที่กำลังเซ็งสุดขีดกับการถูกมองข้ามไม่มีใครช ื่นชมและอดครองบัลลังก์ กษัตริย์แน่ ๆ ธาเดียส จึงใช้ชีวิตมัวเมาไร้สาระกับการสูบกัญชา กินเหล้าเคล้านารีไปวัน ๆ แต่เมื่อ เบลลาดอนน่า (Zooey Deschanel) ว่าที่เจ้าสาวของเฟเบียส โดนพ่อมดที่ชั่วร้าย ลีซาร์ (Justin Theroux) จับตัวไป พระราชาผู้เป็นบิดาจึงยื่นคำขาดกับโอรสสุดหลังยาวให้ โชว์ความเป็นแมนออกไป ช่วยว่าที่เจ้าสาวของพี่ชายไม่เช่นนั้นเค้าจะโดนตัดอ อกจากกองมรดกอย่างถาวร
เมื่อไม่มีทางเลือกธาเดียสจึงต้องออกเดินทางผจญภัยเป ็นครั้งแรกในชีวิต ในภาระกิจสุดอันตรายและต้องร่วมมือกับเฟเบียสพี่ชายท ี่เค้าอิจฉามาโดยตลอด พี่น้องสองเจ้าชายต้อง ออกเดินทางไปตามดินแดนหลังเขาที่เต็มไปด้วยอันตราย และในระหว่างทางนั้นก็ได้พบกับ อิซาเบล (Natalie Portman) นักรบสาวสุดห้าวหาญผู้มีจุดประสงค์ลับบางอย่างร่วมเด ินทางไปกับพวกเค้าด้วย ในภาระกิจช่วยคู่หมั้นหมายของรัชทายาทจากพ่อมดสุดชั่ วร้าย !!!!
