เรื่องย่อภาคแรก
ประมาณปี 2113 ในโลกที่สามารถวัดระดับและบ่งบอกปริมาณของสภาพจิตใจก ับบุคลิกภาพของคนได้ ทันที ข้อมูลต่างๆ ถูกจัดเก็บและนำไปประมวลผล โดยเรียกการวัดนั้นว่า "Psycho-Pass" สำหรับพวกหน่วยมือปราบจะมีปืน Dominator เป็นทั้งอาวุธและเครื่องมือสำหรับวัดระดับนั้น ผู้ที่มีระดับ Psycho Pass สูงเกินไปจะถูกจับกุม และถ้าสูงจนไม่เหมาะสมที่จะอยู่ในสังคมหรือเป็นอันตร ายต่อผู้อื่นจะถูก วิสามัญทันที
เรื่องราวเกี่ยวข้องกับ โคกามิ ชินยะ (Kougami Shinya) หนึ่งในกลุ่มคนที่มี Psycho-Pass สูงกว่าที่กำหนด และถูกใช้งานเพื่อให้จัดการพวกที่มีแนวโน้มจะเป็นอาช ญากรบนโลกใบนี้
ส่วนภาคนี้เนื้อเรื่องต่อจากเหตุการณ์ในภาคแรกนะครับ โดยแต่ละทีมมีผู้บังคับใช้ใหม่เพิ่มเข้ามาด้วยรวมทั้ งกิโนสะ
