เป็นเรื่องราวของสงครามในโลกที่กำลังประทุอยู่ ความขัดแย้งระหว่างสหพันธรัฐอารันดัส (Kingdom of Arandas alliance) อันเป็นกลุ่มประเทศที่มีทรัพยากรทางธรรมชาติมากมาย และมีประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนาน ได้ทำศึกกับพันธมิตรแห่งชาติอินเจลเมีย (The Countries Unification of Ingelmia) กลุ่มประเทศที่หมายจะแย่งชิงเอาความอุดมสมบูรณ์จากอี กฝ่าย

และภายหลังจากมีการใช้อาวุธที่สามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพ ภูมิอากาศ ซึ่งมีผลกระทบตามมานั่นก็คือ การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางธรรมชาติอย่างฉับพลัน ผลกระทบนั้นก่อให้เกิดสภาวการณ์อันบิดเบี้ยวไปทั่วทุ กๆ ที่บนโลก แม้มนุษย์จะได้รับรู้ถึงความโกรธเกี้ยวของธรรมชาติอั นเป็นผลจากสิ่งที่ตนได้ กระทำลงไป แต่สงครามที่ยาวนานกว่าสามทศวรรษ กลับไม่มีท่าทีว่าจะยอมสงบลงแต่อย่างใด ราวกับเกมกระดานที่ไม่มีวันชี้ผลแพ้ชนะ
