เรื่องนี้สร้างขึ้นมาจากหนังสือ Watashi no Otoko ที่ได้รับรางวัลหนังสือที่ใหญ่ที่สุดรางวัลหนึ่งของญ ี่ปุ่นอย่าง Naoki Prize ในปี 2007
