Heroes of Might and Might V เป็นเกมแนว Turn based strategy โดยที่ผู้เล่นจะต้องนำ Hero และกองทัพทหาร ไปสำรวจแผนที่ที่ เต็มไปด้วยสมบัติ, ศัตรู, ปราสาท และอีกมากมาย เมื่อ Hero ชนะการต่อสู้จะได้รับค่าประสบมการ์ณ เมื่อ Level Up จะมี ความสามารเพิ่ม ทั้ง เวทมนต์เยอะขึ้น, กองทหารของ Hero นั้นเก่งขึ้น ฯลฯ
