หนังเริ่มให้ความสำคัญกับที่มาที่ไปของฆาตกร และเป็นการเริ่มต้นสร้างสมบารมีของ Jason ให้ขึ้นแท่นไปเป็น Slasher ผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ตลอดกาล
ภาคนี้เป็นการเปิดตัวเจสัน แบบเต็มๆ หลังจากฆาตกรในภาคแรกซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์กับเขาได้ถูก ฆ่าตายไป และเขาก็เห็นกับตาด้วย
งานนี้เขาเลยออกเล่นเกมสังหารล้างแค้นทุกคนด้วยตนเอง ภาคนี้เจสันยังเป็นคนนะครับ ไม่ได้จมน้ำตายอย่างที่เรารู้มาในภาคแรก
แต่ภาคสองนี้เจสันยังไม่ได้เริ่มสวมหน้ากากฮ็อคกี้ ภาคนี้แค่เอาถุงคลุมผ้าไล่ฆ่าชาวบ้าน
ฉากเปิดตัวเจสันทำได้เจ๋งมากๆ วิธีการปราบเจสันของนางเอกภาคนี้ก็เข้าท่ามากๆ และภาคนี้ก็แสดงให้เราเห็นว่าเจสันนั้นรักแม่เพียงใด
