เรื่องราวของแจ๊ค (จอห์น คูแซ็ค) ที่ถูกว่าจ้างโดย แดร็กน่า (โรเบิร์ต เดอนีโร) หัวหน้าอาชญากรระดับตำนานให้นำกระเป๋าลึกลับใบหนึ่งไ ปส่งมอบที่โรงแรมข้าง ทางอันเปลี่ยวร้าง ที่นั่นแจ็คได้เจอคนที่ไม่น่าไว้ใจกลุ่มหนึ่งที่ถูกแ ดร็กน่าส่งมาโดยไม่รู้ สาเหตุ แต่ในระหว่างที่เหตุการณ์รุนแรงเกิดขึ้นตลอดคืนขณะรอ คอยแดร็กน่าเดินทางมา ถึง แจ็คได้พบกับรีฟก้า (รีเบคก้า ดาคอสต้า) สาวสวยที่เข้ากันได้ดีกับเขา จนเมื่อแดร็กน่าปรากฎตัว บทสรุปที่สุดอันตรายก็ถูกเปิดเผย
