เรื่องย่อ

เป๊กโกะ (โยสึเกะ คุโบซึกะ) เด็กหนุ่มผู้หลงใหลในการตีปิงปองมาตั้งแต่เด็ก ในวัยเด็ก เป๊กโกะ จะคอยคุ้มครอง สไมลี่ (อาราตะ) เพื่อนรักของเขา จากการถูกรังแกของแก๊งเด็กเกเร จนทำให้สไมลี่ประทับใจ ในตัวเป๊กโกะเป็นอย่างมาก จนถึงขั้นเริ่มหัดตีปิงปองตามเป๊กโกะ เป๊กโกะและสไมลี่ทั้งสองคน จัดว่าเป็นยอดฝีมือระดับโรงเรียน และทั้งสองจะได้เป็นตัวแทนของโรงเรียน ไปแข่งขันในแมทซ์สำคัญๆ เสมอ เป๊กโกะเคยพ่ายแพ้ในการแข่งขันครั้งหนึ่ง เขารู้สึกท้อแท้สิ้นหวังมาก จนถึงขั้นจะเลิกเล่นปิงปองเลยทีเดียว แต่แล้วในที่สุด เป๊กโกะก็คิดได้ว่า จริงๆ แล้วสิ่งที่เขารักและต้องการคืออะไร เขาจึงกลับมาเล่นปิงปองอีกครั้งหนึ่งและในครั้งนี้คู ่แข่งของเขา ก็คือเพื่อนรักของเขาเอง …สไมลี่การแข่งขันปิงปองในครั้งนี้ ใครจะเป็นผู้แพ้หรือผู้ชนะ และมิตรภาพความเป็นเพื่อนของทั้งสอง จะเป็นเช่นไร ร่วมลุ้นและหาคำตอบได้ บนสังเวียนขนาด 274x152.5 ซม. กับลูกปิงปองพลาสติกความเร็ว 140 กม.ต่อชั่วโมง ใน ปิงปอง ตบสนั่น… วันหัวใจไม่ยอมแพ้
