เนื้อเรื่องย่อ The Dilemma เป็นเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับสองหนุ่มเพื่อนรักอย่าง หนุ่มโสด Ronny (Vince Vaughn)
และ แฮปปี้แฟมิลี่แมน Nick ( Kevin James) ที่เรื่องยุ่งๆต้องเกิดขึ้นเมื่อทั้งคู่ต้องออกไปทำง านด้วยกัน
โดยที่ Ronny ก็พาแฟนสาว Beth (Jennifer Connelly) และ Nick พาภรรยาของเขา Geneva (Winona Ryder) ไปด้วย
ซึ่งในระหว่างที่ทำงานกันนั้น Ronny ก็ดันตาดีไปเห็น Geneva ภรรยาของเพื่อนเดินหลบมุมเข้าไปในสวนแห่งหนึ่ง
และเมื่อเขาตามไปดูก็พบ Geneva กำลังพลอดรักกับผู้ชายคนอื่นอยู่ !!

Ronny เก็บความไม่สบายใจกับภาพที่เห็นเอาไว้และเริ่มสืบดูว ่า Geneva มีชายอื่นจริงมั้ย ?
และเมื่อ Ronny มั่นใจแล้วว่า Geneva คบชู้แน่ๆ และเขาจำเป็นต้องบอกให้ Nick ได้รับรู้เรื่องนี้
แต่ทว่า Ronny กลับไม่กล้าและไม่รู้จะเริ่มพูดกับ Nick ยังไงดี ??
....ภาวะกลืนไม่เข้าคายไม่ออกของหนุ่ม Ronny ที่มีต่อเพื่อนซี้ Nick จึงเกิดขึ้น !!!
