เรื่องย่อ
ซโลมอน เคน (เจอมส์ เพียวฟอย) คือมือสังหารระดับพระกาฬ แห่งศตวรรษที่ 16 ด้วยอาวุธครบมือ พร้อมด้วยหมู่โจรตะลุยปล้นสะดมไปบนเส้นทางที่ชุ่มโชก ด้วยเลือด แต่เมื่อเขาบุกเข้าไปในปราสาทลึกลับเพื่อยึดครองทรัพ ย์สมบัติมหาศาลที่ร่ำ ลือกันมานาน ชะตาชีวิตก็พลิกผันทันที ลูกสมุนของเคนถูกสิ่งมีชีวิตเหนือธรรมชาติเด็ดหัวไปท ีละคนสองคน กระทั่งเหลือแต่เขาเท่านั้นที่ต้องเผชิญหน้ากับมัจจุ ราช ซึ่งถูกส่งมาจากขุมนรก เพื่อกระชากวิญญาณอันมืดบอด แต่สุดท้าย เคนหนีรอดจากคมเคียวมาได้ พร้อมกับตระหนักได้ว่าถึงเวลาแล้วที่จะต้องไถ่บาป หลังจากนั้นจึงละทิ้งความโหดร้าย อุทิศทั้งชีวิตให้กับสันติและความดีงาม ทว่าไม่นานจิตวิญญาณใหม่ของเคนก็ถูกทดสอบ เขาไม่สามารถช่วยผู้คนในครอบครัวครอว์ธอร์ให้รอดพ้นจ ากการถูกสังหารอย่างโหด เหี้ยม เขาสาบานว่าจะต้องตามหาและปลดปล่อยลูกสาวของพวกเขาที ่ถูกจับตัวไปให้เป็น อิสระให้ได้ ไม่ว่านั่นจะหมายถึงการนำพาจิตวิญญาณกลับไปสู่อันตรา ย หรือต้องคลุกคลีกับพรสวรรค์ทางด้านการฆ่าอีกครั้งก็ต าม
