ในโลกของเรามีสิ่งมีชีวิตอมตะที่เรียกว่า อันเดด อยู่ 53 ตน เมื่อ 10,000 ปีก่อน อันเดดทั้ง 53 ตนได้ต่อสู้กันเพื่อหาสิทธิ์การเป็นเผ่าพันธุ์ที่ปกค รองโลกนี้ โดยผู้แพ้จะถูกผนึกศิลาผนึกไว้เป็นการ์ด ในท้ายที่สุดฮิวแมนอันเดดหรือมนุษย์ ก็เป็นผู้ชนะในศึกครั้งนั้นและทำให้เผ่าพันธุ์มนุษย์ เป็นผู้ถือสิทธิ์ครองโลกนี้ 10,000 ปีต่อมาจนถึงปัจจุบันองค์กรB.O.A.R.D.ซึ่งได้ทำการวิ จัยเกี่ยวกับเรื่องของอันเดด วันหนึ่งฮิโรเสะ โยชิโตะ ผู้ได้สูญเสียภรรยาไปได้ทำการปลดผนึกอันเดดเกือบทั้ง หมด เพิ่อศึกษาหาความลับของชีวิตอมตะ ทางB.O.A.R.D.จึงได้ทำการสร้างระบบไรเดอร์ซิสเต็มขึ้ น เพื่อใช้พลังของอันเดดในการผนึกเหล่าอันเดดลงในการ์ด อีกครั้ง
