เรื่องย่อ

เรื่องราวเริ่มต้นเมื่อลูเวลลิน มอสส์ (จอช โบรลิน) พบรถปิคอัพในพื้นที่ที่เกลื่อนไปด้วยศพ โดยมีเฮโรอีนและเงินสดจำนวนสองล้านดอลล่าร์วางอยู่หล ังรถ เมื่อมอสส์ฉวยเอาเงินไป เขาได้เริ่มต้นเหตุการณ์ความรุนแรงที่เป็นหายนะที่แม ้แต่กฎหมาย ซึ่งในที่นี้ก็คือนายอำเภอเบลล์ (ทอมมี่ ลี โจนส์) ก็ยังควบคุมไม่ได้ เมื่อมอสส์พยายามหนีให้พ้นจากผู้ที่คอยตามล่าเขา โดยเฉพาะชายลึกลับจอมวางแผนที่ใช้วิธีโยนเหรียญหัวก้ อยเพื่อตัดสินชีวิตคน (ฮาเวียร์ บาร์เด็ม)
