เรื่องย่อ

Coriolanus เป็นผลงานการกำกับครั้งแรกของนักแสดงผู้มากฝีมือ เรลฟ์ ไฟนส์ เอาบทละครของวิลเลียม เชคสเปียร์ มาดัดแปลงใหม่ให้เป็นหนังที่มีฉากเป็นยุคปัจจุบัน ใส่โทนหนังแบบ The Hurt Locker แทนที่ฉากรบด้วยดาบแบบโบราณ แต่ยังคงด้วยคำพูดแบบบทกลอนเอาไว้ คล้ายกับหนัง Romeo + Juliet ของบัซ เลอร์มานน์ และ Richard III ของริชาร์ด ลอนเครน

ไฟนส์ยังรับบทคอริโอลานัส ตัวเอกของเรื่องด้วย เรื่องราวของนายพลที่จำใจต้องเข้าสู่สภารับตำแหน่งวุ ฒิสมาชิก ซึ่งมีโวลัมเนีย (วาเนสซา เรดเกรฟ) ควบคุมอยู่ แต่เขากลับถูกทรยศโดยนักการเมืองและถูกขับไล่อย่างเส ื่อมเสีย คอริโอลานัสจึงต้องร่วมมือกับทิลลัส ออฟิเดียส (เจอราร์ด บัทเลอร์) ศัตรูคู่อาฆาตของเขา ที่ควบคุมกองทัพกบฏอยู่ ในการแก้แค้น
