Speckles the Tarbosaur was just learning how to hunt when his herd comes under attack from the fearsome One-Eye, a Tyrannosaur in search of a new home. His family wiped out in the vicious battle, Speckles soon happens across kindly fellow Tarbosaur Blue Eyes, and together they start a family. Meanwhile, as Speckles and Blue Eyes search for the perfect place to settle down, One-Eye returns with a vengeance, setting the stage for one final battle that will determine the true king of the dinosaurs.
