เรื่องเริ่มต้นในวันที่ Shi Jianru กบฎหุ้ยโจว ได้ถูกจับและถูกตัดสินให้ประหารชีวิต ภายหลังจากความล้มเหลวในการลอบสังหารข้าหลวงใหญ่โดยก ารวางระเบิดคฤหาสน์ ที่เมืองหุ้ยโจว มณฑลกวางตุ้ง เดือนตุลาคม ปี 1900

ต่อมาปี 1911เมืองกวางเจา มณฑลกวางตุ้ง ภายหลังจากความล้มเหลวในการก่อกบฎ Pan Dawei รองประธานขบวนการถงเหมินฮุ่ย สาขากวางเจา ได้มาถึงทางเรือและลอบนำอาวุธปืนผ่านด่านตรวจเข้ามาไ ด้

ในช่วงเวลาตรุษจีนที่กำลังจะเข้ามาถึง Pan Dawei และ Gao Jianfu ประธานขบวนการถงเหมินฮุ่ย สาขากวางเจา ได้วางแผนลุกฮือขึ้นอีกครั้งเพื่อบุกเข้าจวนข้าหลวงใ หญ่ ซึ่งจะเป็นที่รับรู้ต่อมาว่าคือ การปฏิวัติกวางเจาครั้งที่ 2 วันที่ 27 เมษายน ปี 1911 หรือ The Second Guangzhou Uprising
