แน่นอนว่า King Kong (2005) ของ Peter Jackson ย่อมมีงานสร้างที่อลังการและสมจริงมากกว่า King Kong (1976) ของ Dino De Laurentiis (โปรดิวซ์) กับ John Guillermin (กำกับ) ก็หนังมันสร้างห่างกันตั้งเกือบ 30 ปี แต่เอาเข้าจริง 1976 กลับมีอานุภาพในการกระเทาะต่อมน้ำตาให้แตกได้ดีกว่า

หนึ่งคือด้วยแววตาบ้องแบ๊วของเจ้าลิงยักษ์ขนาดราวๆ 40-50 ฟุต เรารู้สึกว่าหนังช่างโหดร้ายกับมันเหลือเกิน ให้คนกอดจูบกันต่อหน้าไม่พอ ยังบังเอิญทำผ้าพันคอของหญิงสาวที่แอบรักร่วงหล่นลงไ ปในที่คุมขังอีก ทรมานสัตว์ไร้เดียงสาที่ไม่รู้อิโหน่อิเหน่และยังไม่ ชินกับคำว่า รัก กันเกินไปแล้ว และข้อสอง อันนี้ยอมรับแบบยอมจำนนต่อหลักฐานว่า Jessica Lange มีเสน่ห์ดึงดูดเพศตรงข้ามไม่ว่าจะสปีชีส์ไหนก็ตามได้ ดีกว่า Naomi Watts คือเราชอบนาโอมิมาก แต่มาเจอเธอนี่ยอม
