“Edge of Tomorrow” ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของอนาคตอันใกล้ที่มีฝูงเอเลี่ยนบุก โจมตีโลกอย่างต่อเนื่อง แม้แต่กองกำลังทหารของโลกก็ไม่อาจหยุดยั้งได้ พันตรีวิลเลียม เคจ (ครูซ) เป็นนายทหารผู้ไม่เคยพบเห็นการต่อสู้วันใดที่ไม่มีคว ามเสี่ยงต่อความหายนะ การเข่นฆ่าภายในไม่กี่นาทีทำให้เคจพบว่าตัวเองถูกโยน เข้าสู่ห้วงแห่งเวลา กดดันให้เขาต้องใช้ชีวิตอยู่กับการรบครั้งแล้วครั้งเ ล่า ต้องต่อสู้และล้มตายซ้ำแล้ว…ซ้ำอีก แต่ด้วยการต่อสู้แต่ละครั้ง ทำให้เคจสามารถรับมือกับศัตรูที่มีความสามารถมากขึ้น ร่วมกับนักรบกองกำลัง พิเศษ ริต้า วาทาสกี้ (บลันท์) ยิ่งเมื่อเคจและริต้าต้องต่อสู้กับเหล่าเอเลี่ยนแต่ล ะครั้ง ทำให้พวกเขายิ่งใกล้จะเอาชนะศัตรูได้มากขึ้นทุกที
