Reds ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงออสก้าร์ 12 รางวัลด้วยกัน รวมทั้งรางวัลใหญ่ทั้งหมด แต่ได้กลับมา 3 รางวัลคือ ผู้กำกับยอดเยี่ยม, ดาราสบทบหญิงยอดเยี่ยม (Maureen Stapleton) และ ถ่ายภาพยอดเยี่ยม
