เรื่องย่อ

ป็อปปี้ สาวน้อยวัย 16 (เอ็มมา โรเบิร์ตส์) เป็นเด็กสาวเอาแต่ใจตัวเองที่หมกมุ่นอยู่แต่กับเรื่อ งราวของตัวเอง เธอใช้ชีวิตแสนสุขอยู่ในแอลเอ แม้ว่าเธอจะจับจ่ายใช้สอยด้วยบัตรเครดิตที่มีวงเงินไ ม่จำกัดและห้อมล้อมไปด้วยเสื้อผ้าสวยๆ นับไม่ถ้วน ป็อปปี้ก็อดหงุดหงิดไม่ได้กับสถานการณ์ของครอบครัวเธ อ และเธอก็ทำให้แน่ใจว่าทุกคนจะรู้ถึงความรู้สึกนี้

หลังจากการล้อเล่นแผลงๆ ทำให้พ่อของเธอ (เอเดน ควินน์) ทนไม่ไหว ป็อปปี้จึงถูกส่งตัวไปโรงเรียนประจำในอังกฤษ หลังจากที่พบตัวเองอยู่ในอีกโลกหนึ่งที่มีการเคอร์ฟิ วช่วงหัวค่ำ คุณแม่อธิการที่เข้มงวดและลาครอส ซึ่งกลายเป็นกีฬาบังคับ เจ้าหญิงชาวอเมริกันผู้นี้ก็ได้พบคู่ปรับที่สมน้ำสมเ นื้อ นั่นคือโรงเรียนของเด็กสาวชาวอังกฤษ ที่จะไม่ยอมทนรับนิสัยเสียของเธอเด็ดขาด
