เรื่องย่อ
เพื่อนกลุ่มหนึ่งที่ปาร์ตี้กันบนคอนโดหรู จาร์รอด (เอริค บัลโฟร์) และ อีเลน (สก็อตตี้ ธอมป์สัน) เดินทางไปร่วมงานวันเกิดของ เทอร์รี่ (โดนัลด์ ไฟสัน) เพื่อนสนิทและแฟนสาว แคนดิส (บริตตานีย์ แดเนียล) ที่เมืองลอสแองเจลิส แต่เมื่อแสงประหลาดถูกส่องลงมาจากท้องฟ้าก่อนที่ดวงอ าทิตย์จะขึ้นเพียงสอง ชั่วโมง ทุกชีวิตบนโลกก็แทบสูญสิ้น พวกเขาคือผู้รอดชีวิตและจะต้องหาทางเอาตัวรอดจากหายน ะครั้งนี้ นอกจากนี้ พวกเขายังต้องผจญกับผู้บุกรุกจากนอกโลก ไม่ว่าจะเป็น “แทงค์เกอร์” ขนาดมหึมาใกล้เคียงคิงคองสูงกว่า 65 ฟุต “ไฮดร้า” หน่วยต่อสู้ทางอากาศ จนถึง “โดรน” หน่วยปฏิบัติการณ์ขนาดเล็ก มนุษย์ทุกคนไม่มีทางหนีรอดและทำลายมัน หรือนี่คือ วันสิ้นโลกอย่างแท้จริง
