ภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Death on the Nile (2022) นั้นดัดแปลงมาจากหนังสือในชื่อเดียวกัน ซึ่งเป็นนิยายสืบสวนสอบสวน

ที่ถูกตีพิมพ์ในปี ค.ศ.1937 ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งเรื่องราวจากปลายปากกาของ Agatha Christie (อากาธ่า คริสตี้)

โดยในภาคนี้ ยังคงติดตามการสืบคดีของ นักสืบ เออร์กูล ปัวโรต์ ที่ภาคนี้เขาถูกจ้างไปสืบคดี และได้บังเอิญไปขึ้นเรือสำราญบนแม่น้ำไนล์

ระหว่างทริปล่องเรืออันสงบสุข จู่ๆในเช้าวันหนึ่ง เขาต้องได้พบเจอกับคดีฆาตกรรม ลินเน็ต ลิตเวย์ ทำให้การพักผ่อนของเขาครั้งนี้

ต้องกลายเป็นการทำงานแบบเลี่ยงไม่ได้ ซึ่งนักสืบ ปัวโรต์ ต้องทำการสืบคดี หาข้อมูล และนำข้อมูลมาปะติดปะต่อเป็นเรื่องราวเพื่อไขปริศนา

และตามหาฆาตกรตัวจริง ท่ามกลางทิวทัศน์และวัฒนธรรมอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของเมื่ ออียิปต์

ความพิเศษของเล่มนี้ก็คือ มันถูกวางไว้ให้เป็นภาคต่อของ Murder on the Orient Express ในฉบับภาพยนตร์ด้วย
