The winner of a beauty contest located in a fishing town of North Carolina end with a group of friends driving home one night.
The driver of the vehicle of friends is intoxicated and not paying full attention to where he is going.
On the way back from these festivities the driver of the car runs into a fisherman with his girlfriend’s vehicle.
Instead of attempting to help the fisherman, the group of panicking friends decides to throw the injured and possibly dying man in the ocean.
Months later one of the four friends receives a letter which states “I know what you did last summer.”
Suspecting a classmate wrote the letter, they soon find out that their assumptions were false as the killings begin.!!!
