Where Eagles Dare ภาพยนตร์สงครามแนวสายลับในปี 1968 สร้างจากบทประพันธ์ของ Alistair MacLean นักเขียนนิยายชื่อดัง (ผลงานเรื่องอื่นของเขาที่ถูกเอามาทำเป็นภาพยนตร์ก็เ ช่น The Guns of Navarone และ Force 10 From Navarone) นำแสดงโดยสองดาราระดับแม่เหล็กของยุค Richard Burton และ Clint Eastwood (เป็นภาพยนตร์สงครามเรื่องแรกของเขา เรื่องที่สองคือ Kelly s Heroes ในปี 1970)

เรื่องราวของเหตุการณ์ระหว่างสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง เมื่อนายพลท่านหนึ่งของกองทัพบกอเมริกันที่ระหว่างเด ินทางไปร่วมประชุมแผน การบุกยุโรปของฝ่ายพันธมิตรเกิดประสบอุบัติเหตุเครี่ องบินตกในเยอรมัน ถูกจับเป็นเชลยอยู่ในปราสาทโบราณบนยอดเขาในแคว้นบาวา เรีย ฝ่ายพันธมิตรจึงมอบหมายภารกิจให้หน่วยสืบราชการลับขอ งอังกฤษ MI-6 (หน่วยเดียวกับ James Bond 007 นั่นแหละครับ) นำโดยผู้พัน Jonathan Smith (Richard Burton) จัดทีมกล้าตายเข้าไปลักพาตัวนายพลคนนี้ออกมาให้ได้ก่ อนที่แผนการยกพลขึ้นบก ที่หาด Normandy ในวัน D-Day จะรั่วไหลออกไป โดยทางฝ่ายอเมริกันได้ส่งผู้หมวดหนุ่ม Morris Schaffer (Clint Eastwood) จากหน่วยพิเศษ OSS (Office of Strategic Services ในระหว่าง WW2 ก่อนที่จะกลายเป็น CIA - Central Intelligence Agency ภายหลัง) มาช่วยอีกคน แต่ระหว่างการโดดร่มลงใกล้ที่หมายได้เกิดเหตุการณ์ที ่ทำให้หมวด Schaffar เริ่มสงสัยแล้วว่าภารกิจลับนี้มีเบื้องหน้า่เบื้องหล ังมากกว่าที่ควรจะ เป็น....
