Baldur's Gate 3 ตำนานเกมแนว CRPG ที่จะให้ผู้เล่นผจญภัยเก็บเลเวลในโลกแฟนตาซีสุดสวยงา ม พร้อมระบบต่อสู้กับเหล่ามอนสเตอร์ ที่จะมาในรูปแบบผลัดกันเดิน โดยภายในภาคที่ 3 นี้ ยังได้ทีมพัฒนาเกม Larian Studios ผู้เคยสร้างผลงานเกมแนว CRPG ยอดเยี่ยมอย่าง Divinity Original Sin 2 มาเป็นคนดูแลโปรเจกต์

ภายในตัวอย่างดังกล่าว ผู้เล่นจะได้พบกับสิ่งที่น่าสนใจดังนี้
- เอนจิ้นที่ใช้สร้างเกม จะเป็นตัวเดียวกันกับเอนจิ้นเกม Divinity Original Sin 2 ทำให้กราฟิกจะดูสวยงามไม่ต่างกัน
- ระบบสร้างตัวละครจะมีให้เลือกชนเผ่า และจะมีการเลือกสังกัดเผ่านั้นๆ เพิ่มเติม ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้ได้รับสเตตัสด้านดีแตกต่างกัน
- คลิป Cinematic เปิดเกมสุดอลังการ
- มีช่องสำหรับกดใช้สกิล และไอเทม มากกว่า 60 ช่อง ส่งผลให้ผู้เล่นสามารถทำคอมโบได้อย่างไม่ติดขัด
- ตัวละครเอก มีเสียงพากย์ด้วย
- การพูดคุยกับ NPC จะตัดกล้องซูมไปหาตัวละครใกล้ๆ และจะมีคำให้ตอบโต้กับ NPC เยอะมาก รวมทั้งอาชีพ หรือสเตตัสของเรา จะส่งผลให้เลือกคำตอบพิเศษได้
- ความอิสระในการเล่นกับวัตถุ ผู้เล่นจะสามารถแงะประตูได้ทุกบานหากมีอุปกรณ์, ปากล่องใส่ของไปที่อื่น หรือเก็บเข้ากระเป๋ามาทำประโยชน์อะไรซักอย่าง
- ฟิสิกส์การทำคอมโบระหว่างธาตุ ยกตัวอย่างหากผู้เล่นปล่อยเวทย์ไฟใส่พื้นที่เปียกน้ำ อยู่ น้ำจะเกิดการระเหยเป็นควัน
