เมื่อสถานฑูต สหรัฐอเมริกา ในเยเมน ถูกผู้ประท้วง จำนวนมาก ปิดล้อม Colonel Terry L. Childers (Samuel L. Jackson )ได้รับคำสั่ง ให้นำกองกำลัง นาวิกโยธิน เข้าไปควบคุม ความปลอดภัย ในสถานฑูต Childers สั่งให้ลูกน้อง ของเขา อัครราชฑูต และครอบครัว อพยพออกไป ทันที่ที่สถานการณ์ รุนแรง เกินควบคุม หลังคำสั่ง ถูกแพร่ออกไป ไม่กี่ชั่วโมง ปรากฏว่า ท่านเอกอัคราชฑูต ปลอดภัย แต่ผู้ประท้วง มากกว่า 80 คน รวมทั้งเด็ก และผู้หญิง ถูกสังหาร อย่างทารุณ

ผลจาก เหตุการณ์ครั้งนั้น ทำให้ Childers ต้องขึ้น ศาลทหาร ในความผิด ฝ่าฝืนกฏ ของกองทัพ ด้วยการสังหาร ประชาชน ที่ไม่มีอาวุธ อย่างไรก็ดี เขาปฏิเสธ ทุกข้อกล่าวหา และแก้ตัวว่า ผู้ประท้วง ติดอาวุธ และเปิดฉากยิง เข้ามา ในสถานฑูตก่อน นอกจากนี้ เขายังกล่าวหาว่า รัฐบาลปรักปรำเขา เพื่อให้เขา ตกเป็นแพะรับบาป ในวิกฤตการ ทางการฑูต ครั้งนั้น เมื่อเป็นดังนี้ Childers จึงไม่ยอม ที่จะปล่อย ให้เรื่องผ่านไปง่าย ๆ โดยเขา ได้หันไปหา เพื่อนเก่า ของเขา Colonel
